Categories are listing all- how do I edit the code

    Hey peeps- my name is mike, and I’m an MT(former) user, it has been 1 week since my last post… hehe couldn’t resist.
    How can I make the code of the index.php to list only the last 20 entries for the categories? I’ve seen it on wiki, but there’s not really any example- which is all I really need. Everything else is working fine it seems 🙂 WP is great!
    Any help is appreciated.

    Maybe I should clarify- I have the categories listed in the stock drop down.
    My site is http://www.ctfzone.net/zone/
    So what i need to happen (and Iv’e searched for this) is when I choose a category from the dropdown- I want it to pull only the last 15 articles for display on the index template.
    Right now when I click on any category it displays the whole list (which cripples the site for awhile if the category has over 200 entries or so :()
    If i need to do the non drop down -that’s np, please lemme know if you know.

    Somebody (the persons nick was “somebody”) gave me the answer on irc- all I had to do was goto options and reading-
    and under the Front PageShow the most recent: put 15 and then choose posts paged
