Since I updated 2 of my blog to the 2.9.1 I’ve had the weirdest problem.
The categories and tags are gone. All posts are now under “Uncategorized” and I can’t see any tags or categories on the admin panel.
I checked the database all everything seems ok there, the categories and tags are there.
I asked my hosting to: -reset the mysql, check the conections, fix the database, everything, but the problem remains.
Now the weird part, I thought the problem was the update, but now I see that all my blogs (even those that are not updated to the last version) are having the same problem.
Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?
Yep, Tried the first thing, and that didn’t work
Is not something about the themes, I use several themes in my blogs, and all of them have the problem.
I just started to create my first blog, and I started with the categories. I created a few of them, and they are not showing up in any of the themes, including the default. I figured it was something I was doing wrong, but after seeing this post, I’m wondering if it’s a bug in the current version of WordPress?
@fjoseplalalala: Do you have a recent database backup?
@nutfric: Many themes do not display links to empty categories. Try adding some posts to them.
