Categories and Att categories conflict

We been having this problem for a while, maybe a year, but we was shure the mixup coused by WPML / slug translation engine, until now when we started a new clean install of WP and MLA.

Creating a Media (Att) category manually (including the slug):
Name: Editorial
Slug: media-editorial

Then creating a Default post category with the same name
Name: Editorial
Slug: editorial

The last post category creates/ override the single slug “editorial” and gives me “media-editorial” and the same ID, as the Att category.

Still, it is possible to delete one of each other without the “twin” is deleted. Strange.

This messes up the install HUGE when other taxonomies start running later like woocommerce or so.

If I NAME the Att category like “Media Images”, and create the Post category “Images”, everything is fine. But I need to remember all my clients to Never use the exactly same Name on Categories / Att categories, OR product category / Att category and so on…

What about this behaviour? Is it a bug or just the way things are…?
