I understand that the “From” address in our webforms must be a valid email address in the same domain, to keep the messages from being flagged as spam.

A “catch-all” address receives all messages sent to non-existing addresses. Let’s say we have a catch-all address of noreply@ourdomain.com. Can I therefore set the webform’s “From” address to a non-existing address like webform@ourdomain.com (with a note in the bottom explaining that they should not reply because it is an unmonitored mailbox)? Messages sent to webform@ourdomain.com would go to the real catch-all address.

Is a non-existing address which sends to a catch-all address a valid and reasonable “From” address for a webform?
