 * I am looking for a catalog system similar to shopping cart.
    I want to create
   a group of images that will display as a set and when one is clicked a new page
   or window will open showing the image in a large size with text fields (that 
   can accept HTML code preferably) and additional images.
 * NextGEN gallery does nearly everything I need, but it doesn’t let me add text
   and additional images to each image displayed.
    If I could set custom fields 
   that accept HTML with NextGen, fields which are only displayed when the image
   is viewed in large size – that would be almost perfect.

 * Please check out CataBlog, it is a cataloging plugin for WordPress that is similar
   to NextGEN but lets you add text and additional images. CataBlog also lets you
   set the HTML code for the “buy now” buttons. So if you have a preferred shopping
   cart you may use it, or if you want to use PayPal there is built in support.
