Catalog ID is missing error

    Hi,

    I already connected to Facebook Pixel and I just disconnected for testing something and wanted to connect again, I can not connect, because Catalog ID is missing error. I removed Catalog and removed Plugin, removed DB %wc_facebook% settings and tried to connect, I get the same issue 10 times. I installed old 2 version of plugin the problem is still continues. I don’t know what is a problem. Also note that I reset Pixel with code snippet given WooCommerce official site.

    Thank you for the clarification.

    I understand you’re looking to use the extension to set up a pixel and catalog you can use to advertise your products on Facebook.

    To help us confirm the issue isn’t from Facebook’s limitation, can you try to create a catalog directly on Facebook?

    Hi @spult,

    Thank you for this. Since catalogs can be created, but the error when trying to connect is Catalog ID is missing, it might be related to this error which we have been tracking for some time – it looks like it is fixed, then it is not, then it is.

    One of the tricks that have seemed to work in the past, is when it is trying to be connected, and the buisiness_id field is actually populated – instead of removing it, try changing the alphanumeric field (numbers/letters) of identification to a random 13 letter set.

    What this does is make Facebook ‘see’ that there is a connection, but forces it to go “that is not right” and actually re-connects the system to the right user. It is hit or miss – we cannot guarantee that it works – but we have seen it work when other items such as deleting everything from DB/FB side and in options.php, etc. have failed.

    Essentially, Facebook has a cache system that desperately tries to ‘re-lock’ the user to its older user, and sometimes that gets stuck on their side. It ‘works’ in the sense that it does connect to what looks like the right user, but it prevents access due to cached settings on their side.

    Try that and let us know the results!

    Hi dear!

    I want to explain for help to other guys.

    From the search need to find WooCommerce Integration which can help you to connect directly from Facebook side to WooCommerce.

    But before using this link need to attention!

    1. Need to be deactivate Facebook for WooCommerce Plugin.

    2. From https://www.your_website.com/wp-admin/options.php or Database (for professionals) need to be removed all _id sections inside. I removed it directly from database with this code as you mentioned on the 1st page of this ticket: Copy code from here

    So wp_options maybe different on different hostings.

    3. Go to https://business.facebook.com/latest/business_app_store/discover or https://business.facebook.com/latest/business_app_store/

    Note that links redirecting to the same place where you can arrange everything. Don’t worry, use one of these links.

    From the search need to find WooCommerce Integration which can help you to connect directly from Facebook side to WooCommerce. Please finish all these processes on opened (popup) window.

    4. Go to Plugins from WP-Admin Dashboard and Activate Facebook for WooCommerce Plugin.

    Then go to Configure (settings) plugin and Connect again.

    Finish processes again and all done!

    Catalog ID missing and maybe other issues also will be solve by this way!
