    Hi WP Folk,

I know there are probably some threads that address this, but in my searches, nothing solves it like I need...

I'm using WP as a CMS...each post is a clients "product" info page...

I just want to make a simple link of all catagories (types of products)...and it used to be so easy in earlier versions.

http://www.michiganbrass.com/products-page/ is the page I want the list of cats to be on...

    I get this:

WordPress database error: [Table 'michiganbrass.wp_categories' doesn't exist]
    SELECT DISTINCT cat_id, cat_name FROM wp_categories

I'm terrified of turning my catagories into tags...(yes, I have copies....but still)!

And when I DO click on what should be a catagory page that lists posts (list of products with descriptions), this is what I get (example)...

    please help...

Make sure your not using any deprecated template tags. The current tag for listing categories is wp_list_categories.

Okay, okay jc13...your my best friend f0r the year so far! :)
I got that on my pages.php

I should have found that...In my panic, I left that tag in there...

ONE more little pain-in-my-butt problem and I'm golden!

So I got the right tag in there...

But this is what I get when I click on one of the links....

I'm hoping to get a list of posts (products) with links...

    I'm soooo close!

That error says it's looking for a category.php file and it can't find it. Does your theme include one, if it does, paste the contents of it to http://wordpress.pastebin.ca and report back the link.

    I got it....
I guess I have to actually LOOK at the code to fix it, right?
