casting in the dark, user registration from Poland

    Lost in trying to find an answer. As soon as installed Business Directory and allowed all users, I began to get subscribers from Poland. Specifically with the email address domain of someone@o2.pl . I have tried blocking specific ip addresses as well as blocking all of Poland the country all to know availe. I know this is not really your issue but have you encountered this before? I am useing the recapture mode as well. no joy.

    Hi Dirk,

    Well, sounds like you have spammers heading toward your site. Forcing users to register before posting listings usually helps, as spammers are pretty lazy and the scripts they use to post listings don’t work for those cases. Beyond that, you’ll have to block their incoming traffic somehow. You should look through your web logs to find out the IP ranges they are using and try to block them based on their bot identifier or something similar.
