Did you look in header.php for that code?
It depends on how they did it for what security measure to take. Could it be from a plugin, your theme, or a password? Not sure so I would do them all. Upgrade plugins, themes, change your password, ect.
I went to header.php and I just CTL F and searched for casino and found nothing. Looking at the element I can see what I need to delete using chrome. It is just a madder of finding it in the editor.
esmi I also ran a check and it did not come up with spam. Thank you both for all of the resources. I will keep busting away and try to get this done.
Thanks again
How did you go with solving this?
Are you running a plugin called “Featured Post”? I am, and I noticed the same link randomly appear on my site. I resolved the issue by removing that plugin. Since then, the link has not reappeared.
Hi everyone,
It turned out it was a hacked plugin I had on a few of my sites and a couple client sites. The plugin that I was using was G Translate.
It was a google translate pluging made by a 3rd party that added that link to those sites.
Thank you everyone for the support comments. Esmi I did go through all of that useful info as well.
Thanks again,
Marcus
I also tried looking for that plugin on wordpress.org and it had been removed. So some good news there.
I also noticed this morning that the casino link was showing up. Removed the G Translate plugin after reading Marcus’ post above – link is gone. Thanks Marcus!
