Cartpress plugin is setting http header values

    Expires: Thu, 19 Nov 1981 08:52:00 GMT
    Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0
    Pragma: no-cache

Behaviour started around March this year. I managed to force over-ride it for a while then it started again in May. Seem to have over-ridden it again for now, but cannot get rid of those lines

Here’s the thing – I’ve searched every file in the plugin, and there is no code to generate the above code.
Only clue was found in the database (wp_options table) in the “news” feed from Cartpress where the string matched exactly!

Makes no sense at all. Why would Cartpress insert that code in the news feed….
This amounts to malware injection! Not impressed
(Ridiculous WordPress function anyway – adding news feed as a _transient in the wp_options table. Not the first time this rubbish has caused havoc with a site – it should be in a table on it’s own if anywhere)

    Hmm, fixed it.
Had to empty the wp-options table completely and manually add back the records needed for the site to function, then run Apache cron.

    12 HOURS work
