Cart Widget shows: jQuery(".cart-contents").html("0"); instead of Cart Empty (3 posts)

Basically, my problem is that since I upgraded WP-EC to the 3.8.14.1 version, the Cart Widget shows: jQuery(".cart-contents").html("0"); instead of the 'Cart Empty' text.

I rolled back to the previous WP-EC version 3.8.13.4 and now it just shows 'Loading' rather than the cart empty text.

In both cases, adding a product to the cart fixes the problem - emptying the cart shows the correct cart empty text.

Please can someone help me fix the cart? Thank you in advance for all your assistance.

    Hi Rob!

Sounds like a theme-related issue, as that code is not found anywhere in the core plugin. My best guess is that someone attempted to modify the theme to update the cart item count dynamically, but they did a not-so-awesome job of it. Let me know if you can throw your cart widget PHP template up in a Gist so we can debug further.
