Caroussel background colour – how to change it?

  • I am dumb, but I can’t seem to find (in the CSS) where the colour of the background of the caroussel is defined.

    The background of the slider is black (an can be made completely or partly transparent). I would like to make it orange (#FF9900).

    Where do I change the CSS? Thanks!

  • Create a child theme of your Boot Store theme http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

    Then add this to your style.css file:

    #template-carousel .carousel-caption {
    	background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #FF9900;
    	padding: 10px 24px 0 24px;
    	padding: 0 1.428571429rem 0 1.428571429rem;
    	position: static;
    	margin-bottom: 24px;
    	margin-bottom: 1.714285714rem;
    	margin-top: -24px;
    	margin-top: -1.714285714rem;
    	margin-left: 14px;
    	line-height: 24px;
    	line-height: 1.714285714rem;
    	height: 280px;
    	overflow: hidden;
    }
    #template-carousel .carousel-inner {
        background: none repeat scroll 0px 0px #FF9900;
        height: 22.8571rem;
        overflow: hidden;
    }

    Also add your header.php file in your child theme. Then find this line:

    <div class="carousel-inner" style="background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, <?php echo get_option( 'bre_carousel_opacity', 0.5 ); ?>);">

    change it to:

    <div class="carousel-inner">

    Thank you for you fast reply, kaniamea! 🙂
