Carousel stops slide movement on mobile scroll touch

    Hello,

    Noticed that the carousel will stop its slide motion when a mobile screen is swiped to scroll the view or if the slide element is in full view (hover like on desktop).

    Seems there is no obvious way to restart the motion?

    Is there an easy way to fix this in a configuration setting for the block?

    If not, can you adjust the plugin for this?

    I think the carousel is built to stop on hover or click on desktop (and in turn, on a swipe or tap on mobile). One suggested approach is just to remove this function, as showing arrows or dots should allow the user to navigate back to the slide if needed, and swiping does work to move to the next slide on mobile.

    Or at least allow the carousel to auto-restart after hover is removed on desktop and block is tapped on mobile or something obvious for the user.

    We are using Slick carousel. I am not sure there is someway to achieve like you suggest. Any recommendation would be helpful.

    Looks like there is a default setting you could turn off (or give options to users to turn off and on):

    This would be the one for mobile I need I think:

    pauseOnFocus
    boolean: default is true (change to false or give option)
    Pause Autoplay On Focus

    There are other settingss that could be adjusted or offered as options but I think this one would fix the issue I have raised.

    Having the exact same issue. This makes carousels impossible to use on mobile.

    Just leaving this here to show that it is not an edge case issue 🙂

    Hello @builder9 , Yes adding pauseOnFocus will solve the issue. We will provide this as an option for the user. Let us know if you think other options will be useful. We will add them in the next version.

    Please update the Gutentor Plugin to the latest version. We have Added: Carousel setting including pauseOnFocus.

    Hey @codersantosh thank you so much!

    Maybe, I got this wrong, but I can still not scroll the page focussing on the carousel or am I using the wrong setting? This is what I have configured:

    Enable Infinite Loop: True
    Enable Draggale: False
    Enable Autoplay: True
    Enable Pause on Focus: True
    Enable Pause on Hover: False

    So, the Slide Movement that I am talking about is not sideways but UP and DOWN i.e. scrolling the page.

    You can see the issue if you visit this URL Picadera-Mobile on a mobile device and try to tap on a product in a carousel slider but then not open it but try to scorll down or up.

    I hope I am explaining this well.

    I just tested it with the first carousel on your site, it has pauseonfocus false, and Carousel does not stop slide movement on scroll touch on mobile.
