Carousel mode speed increase after updating to 3.0.1

Meta Slider version: 3.0.1

Recently updated from 2.7.2 to 3.0.1. When this happened the speed of the carousel greatly increased even though no settings were changed. No errors are shown in the console. I disabled all plugins and activated Twenty-Thirteen theme and the problem persists. I reverted back to 2.7.2 and it is working again (http://eatatelmers.com/). The problem can be seen on the staging site (http://elmers.staging.wpengine.com/test/)
