Also, let me know your site’s address so I can have a closer look.
@craigrkirkby if you want to check what @airdrummer is recommending, you can look at your modules page to see if the carousel module was disabled inadvertently.
Otherwise, could you send a link to your site?

@fstat @supernovia Yes, the carousel is enabled on all the affected sites (eg. https://share.getcloudapp.com/4guJrjeZ)

This might be caused by a plugin conflict. Please disable all that site’s plugins except for Jetpack and see if the issue is resolved. If it is, then enable the plugins one by one until you find the one that’s causing the issue.
The most common plugins that cause such issues are page building and gallery plugins.
