    It was reversed about a year ago as, at the time, it felt more natural.

    We’re looking at changing this back, since after looking at it with your case, it is a bit unexpected.

    I’ll post here the link to our bug tracker so you can follow along if you wish.

    Cheers!

    I understand that sometimes it’s good to change the design layout for different size screens and devices, but the order of the title, captions, and descriptions should remain in the same order.

    Thanks

    Do I need to remove the following code shown in https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/blob/master/modules/carousel/jetpack-carousel.js#L176 ?

    photo_info.remove().insertAfter( titleAndDescription );

    This way it’s always in this order on all size screens:
    Title
    Caption
    Description

    That would do it, though we do caution making edits to Jetpack files. Whenever a plugin is updated, the existing version is completely deleted (including any edited files) and replaced by the new version.

    Cheers!

    That’s true. Can I include the following in the child style.css so that it will override the updates?

    if ( window.innerWidth <= 760 ) {
    photo_info.remove().insertAfter( titleAndDescription );
    info.prepend( leftColWrapper );

    Of course without

    photo_info.remove().insertAfter( titleAndDescription );

    No, that code is Javascript and so it won’t be handled via a CSS file.

    How can I preserve the changes and have them work when Jetpack is updated? Is there a way to save it in another place I can save it?

    No, there’s not a way (which is generally why we don’t suggest editing core plugin files).

    So I need to save the changes somewhere else and then add them back in every time the plugin is updated? There must be a better way!

    The ideal way is waiting for the change to be made to the plugin and going from there. 🙂

    Awesome. Eagerly awaiting the update. Thank you as always.

    I changed from:
    photo_info.remove().insertAfter( titleAndDescription );
    to:
    photo_info.remove().insertBefore( titleAndDescription );
    It solved the Title,Caption,Description order problem on the iPhone.
