Carousel Gallery Without Loading Page

    hi,

    im using the jetpack gallery plugin and i was wondering if there was a way to just call the gallery overlay rather than linking to the page with images on?, i can call the carousel when the link is clicked but the page or post with the gallery images embedded still loads behind the overlay, is there a way tghat does not happen
