  • Works better than other slide plugins, but also doesn’t work for my use case.

    Hi @mkn97

Curious what use case you were looking for? What would it take to get that 2 star rating to a 5?

    Hi @kbat82

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/metaslider-carousel-does-not-work-on-screen-sizes-below-768px/

Here’s my ticket. 5 stars for me would for the carousel to appear on load for all instances of its use as well as be working on mobile.

    Hey @mkn97

Mohammed will check on this Monday but it’s likely if you’re using two different modals, one for mobile and one for desktop, only the first slider is being initialized (in this case, the desktop one). That’s something you would have to figure out with the modal plugin.

Also, setting a low review just to get support is frowned upon here on WordPress.

My apologies, it wasn’t my intention to get attention for support. I definitely tried over two days to get things to work, and I concluded that it just doesn’t work as intended.

It’s the same modal used on mobile and desktop. Hopefully we can resolve it on Monday, thanks for your response.

I took a quick look and it looks like it is being duplicated:

So only that first slider is initialized and the second one, which I assume is being displayed on mobile, is ignored.

    Oh I see.

Yeah I used the same short-code pertaining to the modal on two different short-code elements. And the modal short-code uses the Metaslider short-code. I suppose that would explain the interaction with mobile devices if Metaslider looks for only one instance of the slider.

What do you think about why my other Metasliders don’t load until the screen resizes?

I figured out that applying the “fade” effect rather than the “slide” effect makes the carousel load as intended. Not sure why this is the case, but I was able to fix some of the issues I was having.
