Hi and Thank you for your impressive plugin.

I am currently testing the free version on a new web site build and I was hoping to use the carousel display (as seen in your documentation) but it seems to show on the site as a list view.

I have cut & pasted the shortcode documentation into a short code block on the front page of the staging site. The site used PHP 8.1.18 and WordPress 6.2.2. and the Twenty-TwentyThree theme which was copied into a child theme to avoid any update alterations. I have tried changing some of the shortcode parameters but it did not seem to have any effect. In addition, I also tried to use double quotation marks rather than the single quotes shown in your documentation but that test did not have any impact on the display either.

Can you provide any suggestions as to how I can get the carousel version of the display to work the way it is shown in your documentation (i.e. https://docs.mage-people.com/woocommerce-event-manager/events-carousel-style-shortcode/ )

Thanks In Advance, any help will be greatly appreciated.

I’m not sure if this is relevant but it might help with any troubleshooting.

The carousel layout works properly if the short code block containing the Event Manager & Ticket Selling for WooCommerce shortcode is the only item displayed on a regular page.

    However,

The carousel short code block is not functioning properly when placed into the Front Page template of the T23 theme using the Full Site Editor. In addition, there is a console error message “Uncaught SyntaxError: expected expression, got ‘<‘”. This console message does not appear on a regular page layout. The error only appears on the page generated using the Front Page template in the theme.

    Thanks

    Hello @dwturner

Thanks for your message, The carousal script we used in our plugin is Owl Carousal. Sometime the owl carousal also load from the theme. So due to load same script twice its conflicts and carousal is not working perfectly.

To solve this issue please follow this:
Event Settings -> Carousel Settings -> Load Owl Carousel From Theme -> Yes -> Save Settings

I hope this will solve the problem on your website.

    regards.

    Hello @aamahin

Thank you very much for your reply. Here is some additional information that might help.

I have tried toggling the Carousel Setting -> Load Owl Carousel From Theme. Neither of the settings makes a difference to the “Front Page” template.

I have taken a screenshot of Chrome’s developer tool which appears to identify the error as an html closing paragraph tag </p> inside of the jquery document ready function. Please see this link for the screenshot https://staging.hamiltoncameraclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Screenshot-2023-07-05-121704.jpg

However, as mentioned above the code works properly on a blank page (with the Load Owl Carousel set to Yes) – please see https://staging.hamiltoncameraclub.com/carousel-demo/

The erroneous </p> tag from the screenshot does not appear within the code on the “blank” page.

Any suggestions or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks again for your help.
