Car make, model search engine product filter

Hello WP.

I’m currently working on a webshop with woocommerce as plugin. In my webshop, i sell rims and tires. And therefore i need a search engine so that my customers can enter their car make, model and year via a dropdown menu. After they have entered their information, i want the product filter to filter all of my products so that the products that are related to the car information shows up.

I’ve been thinking about adding a tag on every single product and then make the search engine, search for that tag as a car make, model & year.

But i have absolutely no idea on where to even begin looking for a search engine like this. I really need some help here:(
