    Is it me or does the forum search function actually search the rest of the site first and fills up the ten pages available with non forum items?

    That depends on what you’re looking for. It does search all of WordPress.org, so if the term you’re searching for is more prevalent elsewhere (like in documentation, plugins, and themes), then you’ll see the elsewhere first. If you’re searching for something like an error or warning message though, you’ll likely see more forum threads first.

    Via your preferred search engine, try this instead:

    site:wordpress.org/support/ search terms

    What I was looking for was a link to see the latest plugins in the repository, I don’t suppose you know it, seems like that sort of search is going to be very longwinded

    There isn’t one currently. The design decision was that, given the rate plugins are added/updated, such a list would be far less beneficial than just searching for the type of plugin you want.

    Well I was using it until Friday when my pc crashed. I run a site that reviews new wordpress plugins so it’s pretty important for me to find it
