I’m running a website for a radio station and I would like to have a player on the homepage that will automatically capture the latest news bulletin.
I’ve figured out that to do this we would need to record a clip from our audio stream at a set time every hour – which is fine. But I can’t figure out how to then get that audio uploaded to wordpress automatically, without someone having to manually upload the file into our media gallery.
Is there an extension that would capture audio from a stream at a set time and embed it into a player?
Or is there a way that we could automatically upload the recorded files from the computer to wordpress every hour?
I thought about using stream ripper to record the audio and then software that automatically uploads to ftp but the problem is then integrating the ftp file into a wordpress player. And equally, the file needs to overwrite itself every hour.
