• Resolved LifeLibertyVA

I’ve tried every setting and checked for plugin conflicts. Slider was stuck on the first image with a caption. Turning on Print JS and Print CSS unlocked the movement, but I lost the captions. Suggestions?

  • Hi @lifelibertyva,

That’s strange. Can you try to switch to NivoSlider just to see if the caption works?

Do you have a caption on all images or just one specific image?

Can you post a screenshot of the settings area? (You can upload to https://prnt.sc/ if that’s easier, then share the url)

I just switched to Nivo and it looks the same. All images are captioned. Here’s the screenshot:

    Hi @lifelibertyva,

If you turn off “Use image caption” on a slide does that resolve the issue?

Yes! A wacky fix, but I’ll take it. Thank you! I appreciate your prompt attention in helping me solve my issue.

Ah good. Having that on is telling the slide to find the caption on the actual image (within the WP media library) instead of the caption you set on the slide. It’s useful if you use the same image on multiple slideshows, making it easier to update the captions if needed.

I’ll mark this as resolved but feel free to comment more or open a new issue if you have another problem.

By the way, if you’re enjoying MetaSlider please leave us a 5-star review. They really help us out and let others find our plugin more easily. If you don’t think we deserve the 5 stars please let us know how we can improve, too. Thanks!
