# Caption does not display

 * I thought this plugin would be a life saver, but alas the caption doesn’t show
   on my single posts. If the plugin developer or someone with insight would take
   the trouble and see whats wrong, I’d be very greatful.

 * Hi there,
 * I’m sorry to hear it’s not working as expected for you. This is likely due to
   something with the way the theme you’re using inserts the featured image. [This troubleshooting information](https://github.com/cconover/featured-image-caption/wiki/%22Automatic-caption-insertion%22-isn't-working)
   may be helpful.

 * Could you provide an example function that I could paste in my functions.php 
   in my child theme? I don’t know enough PHP to write that function myself…

 * This function doesn’t actually go in `functions.php` but in the theme file corresponding
   to the part of your page’s markup where you’d like the caption to display.
 * I can’t really provide support for individual themes, so my suggestion is to 
   talk to whoever developed your theme about how to customize it.

 * I have the same problem, my theme is WordPress standard Twenty Fifteen and I 
   have a clean WP install with no plugins but yours. I have checked all 3 boxes
   in you plugin. Still no captions visible on featured image in single post view.
   Any ideas?
