    Dear Chad,

we use your plugin with Google captcha and it worked well until recently, when the plugin started displaying alert “CAPTCHA was not valid.” even though the widget was verified correctly.

Could you please help me with that?

    Thank you,
    Jan

That error message occurs based on the response code from Google. An invalid result even if you’ve solved the captcha correctly could be the result of invalid API keys.

The first thing is to double check your API keys. Validate that they are (1) specifically for the domain that you are using this on, (2) that the keys are correctly entered, (3) that the secret and site keys are not inadvertently reversed, and (4) that there is no trailing whitespace in the key entry.

    Dear Chad,

thank you for your message. The API keys are used only by that site. And the keys are entered correctly.

Do you have possibly any other idea for cause of this problem?

Unfortunately, no. There are no known issues in this area of the plugin as far as the plugin and WordPress. If you want to troubleshoot things, I would recommend deactivating other plugins to determine of there is some interference from something else.

I have the same thing with my website. On some pages the captcha says “captcha is not valid !”. On other pages it works fine.
