Support » Plugin: Cerber Security & Antispam » Captcha problem on login page since 5.1

This plugin no longer works on the login page:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/captcha/

If I disable cerber, it works fine.

    Started happening with 5.1 update.

I’ve seen others reporting cerber interfering with login page modifying plugins.

It seems related to the “antispam” engine. I also had a problem with the same captcha on a contact form and it started working again when I disabled AJAX (turned on safe mode) with the “spam engine for contact forms” on.

I would like to request an option to completely turn off the “antispam” engine since it seems to create problems and it overlaps existing functionality of other plugins. Alternatively, fixing the interference issues on the login page would be great.

    Thanks

Hi! You can disable the whole engine in the settings on the Antispam admin page.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply, but unchecking all the boxes (the top 3) does not fix the problem…

I’m sure you can reproduce if you install captcha and enable “captcha on login form.”

By the way, I also don’t use “reCaptcha” from Cerber – it’s all unchecked – just regular image captcha from the other plugin above, which works pretty well, the updated version with math anyway.

Hi! Please install the development version: http://wpcerber.com/development-version/

    Hi,

Does “deactivating/deleting” the 5.1 plugin remove the settings and history? I’d like to keep mine…

Also, if I upgrade to the dev version, will it upgrade to 5.2 through wordpress itself (the regular “update” channel)?

If it erases settings or it can’t be upgraded to 5.2 when released, I might just wait for release… Thanks for updating though.

No worries. All settings and data will not be changed. The development version works the same way as a version you’ve installed from wordpress.org and will be upgraded to the next version the same way too.

Works perfectly now and my settings and history didn’t get erased ^_^ . Thanks for your work.
