    Hi,

Thank you for A great plugin!

Is there any way to display capital letters in the month?

Example [month] September instead of september.

    Thanks.

It should show September, and not september. Can you send me a sample URL where you are having this issue? I’ll check and see what’s causing this.

    Hi @aronweb

    – In the Swedish language, are month names written in lowercase?
    – If not, can you make sure that in Dashboard → Settings → General, the date format is set properly? September should be capitalized like this in preview: https://gauravtiwari.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/image-15.png

Kindly send me a screenshot of the General Settings page so that I can see if anything is wrong with this. If in Swedish, the month names are written in lowercase, I will have to create an update to conditionally Capitalize month names.

Hi from the Swedish WordPress translation team. In Swedish names of months would be capitalized only if they happen to be in the beginning of a sentence.

Thanks a lot, @tobifjellner for this.

I’ll make the necessary changes to the plugin.

Thank you for the input tobifjellner. 🙂

I often times only need lower case letters but when it comes to meta titles and descriptions i have the bad habit of Sometimes Capital All The First Letters because it stands out and looks better. In this case september looks A bit strange. My thought was that if i for example wrote [Month] instead of [month] it would become capital.

Since this seems to be integrated with wordpress dates I am perfectly fine with the way it works.

Thank you for the quick response.

You don’t have to compromise. It won’t take much time to implement your need as a feature.

Allow me a couple of days and I’ll release an update that will help you in this.

I am marking this thread as resolved for the time being.

Great, thank you Gaurav! Much appreciated…

In general: Capitalizing stuff via the same CSS for everyone is usually a bad practice, since each language has its own preferences.

    Hi, @gauravtiwari

Is this implemented or will it not be included?

    Thanks

Hi @aronweb , this is totally my priority. I’ll release this as an update on 26th October. I am collecting ideas and planning to release all at once.

Hi @aronweb , this has been implemented. Due to poor health, I had to postpone the release. Please expect a release within a couple of days.
