capabilities restrictions on managing the epi_embed texts

    epi_embed text types need to be edited by our, well, editors. As it stands they would need to be admins (manage_options caps). We can’t allow them to be admins.

    Is it possible to have more fine grained controll? We’re looking at overrides with map_meta_cap now, but that seems like the wrong place to address the question?

    Hi @poetaster,

    actually, editors are able to edit embed providers. There’s just no direct link in the menu for them since they can’t see the Settings menu entry.

    However, if they directly visit the edit screen by using the exact URL, it should work fine.
    They need to append the following to the domain: /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=epi_embed

    Danke. Dann vielleicht einen menu eintrag in der wp admin leiste? Ich mache das mal erst mittels theme func. aber?

    Wir sind kein Fan davon, unnötig viele Menüpunkte zu integrieren. Daher wollen wir uns an dieser Stelle auf das erforderliche Minimum beschränken.
