After a recent update (not sure if WC or WCVendors) we have lost the ability for vendors to edit/view their products from the dashboard. My Shop Manager has also lost her capabilities to view/edit other vendors (and her own) products.

Also if you click a vendor’s name you can no longer see a list of their products, just a blank page.

I’ve tried re-saving the Capabilities page in WCV but to no avail.

Hello,

Is this in the wp-admin? Is this as the administrator or shop manager role? Do you know which update this started happening in?

Yes in the wp-admin. As the administrator and as shop manager. I believe after the last update.

Hello,

Can you provide a screenshot of the vendor wp-admin? or can vendors not get into the WP-Admin?

Also you can reset the vendor roles by going into WooCommerce > Status > Tools and select reset vendor roles.

I just reset the roles but doesn’t seem to have made any difference.

When a vendor hovers over a product, no options show. No option to ‘Edit’ etc. See:

This is what a vendor just emailed us to describe the problem:

‘I have no edit option for my listings. When I click “Edit Products”, it takes me straight to ADD A NEW PRODUCT. When I view the list of my already published covers, there are no editing options available under any of them.’

On the Vendor Dashboard page, the links for Add New Product and Edit Products are the same: https://website.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=product

Hello,

Have you enabled ‘Enable live edits’ Under capabilities > General ?

If a vendor can add a new product but can’t edit existing ones this is usually the reason.

Regarding the add product / vs edit product going to the same page. You are correct our new navigation shortcode has a bug in it, that I’ve just fixed.

Everything is ticked under capabilities > general except ‘publish approval’. I’ve also tried unticking, saving, then re-ticking to no effect.

So that we can rule out any theme or other plugin conflicts?

Not a theme or plugin conflict, I tried both. Also using latest versions of everything etc.
