Can't view WSIWIG layout on pages and posts

    When i create a new page or post i do not see the WYSIWG page..instead the page is the code view. for example when i insert an image in a page i do not see the image …just the code for the image.

    I have the WP Edit plugin and i deactivated this but still not seeing the page in WYSIWG layout.

    Any ideas?
