  • Don’t download this plugin because you can’t use it unless you join kitchenbug and of course you can’t so the plugin should not be in the wordpress directory.

    Thank you for your honest review. Regarding your comments, Kitchenbug provides a service for analyzing recipes. In that it is a unique plugin and provided at no cost to the blogger. Thousands of man hours have been spent in creating a specialized engine which allows a blogger to just enter a recipe and get a full nutritional analysis. Apart from the analysis we also provide free SEO for food bloggers, allowing them to reach a much larger target audience.

    In order to provide these services the plugin needs to communicate with our server. Doing so without registration would open us to spam and denial of service attacks. Our upcoming version will also allow users to log in using Facebook without even needing to register.

    We believe that registering so that a service can work is a very small price to pay for the value the plugin provides. We understand that you do not agree and respect that, and hope that you will see the benefit of Kitchenbug for WordPress and take the time to try out our product.

    I have no problem with having to register as I already have and was told you had enough registered so I would have to wait. My problem is you are still displaying this plugin in the directory which is missleading to say the least as one can not even try it out.

    I also understand your concerns regarding spam and I hope to be able to use what looks to be a fantastic concept

    I can only apologise for my outburst but it is true it is unusable.

    Again, thank you for the feedback. First of all, your registration has been approved.
    As we’re in a limited beta, we’re approving every request manually, taking into account our capacity. This usually takes somewhere between a few minutes and a few hours.

    Automatic registration approvals will be initiated soon.
