Cant use _wp_page_template

    I’m actually using wordpress version 2.1.3.

    I have tried to make custom templates for my pages such as links, gallery, etc. However when trying to follow http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_an_Archive_Index I have noticed that all of a sudden the Page templates box is speaks of in the sidebar has vanished! As in completely gone. Could someone explain as to why, and how to get it back again?

    Any chance you no longer have a template in your ‘active’ theme that contains a structure such as:

    <?php
/*
Template Name: MyTemplate
*/
?>

    Legend, thanks a lot. That’s not exactly in the documentation is it? Well not on that page, I see it would have told me if I had clicked on links but it doesn’t exactly make it obvious.
