I am new to WordPress, and I’m trying to create a wp-site on my own for the first time. I have installed wp and it seems to work, but I can’t upload any media. When I installed a new theme I need to type in FTP credentials:

“Connection Information. To perform the requested avtion, WordPress needs to access you web server. Please enter your FTP credentials to proveed. If you do not remember your credentials, you should contact your web host.”

I typed them in and I could install my theme.

Now to my problem. When I try to upload a picture I get a error massage:

“XXX.jpg has failed to upload due to an error. The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2014/03.”

Wp don’t create the folder or puts the picture in it. I can do that outside wp, with an FTP-program but wp cant find them.

I guess it is something with the installation that isn’t right. Or that I should type in FTP credentials somewhere, in some templates-file…

If anyone could help me it would be awesome?
