Can't upload media-

I just re-installed a wordpress website with an old database and content files. I changed the wp-config.php file to point to the old database & uploaded the old content files to over write the new ones. Everything works with the exception of trying to upload media

I get this error message:
Unable to create directory /home/users/web/b901/ipg.spinningvortex/light//wp-content/uploads/2010/05. Is its parent directory writable by the server

It seems something is pointing to the old files i had with the old installation instead of the new one
HELP!
