Hundreds of blog posts and news would get new urls. If it were not so, it would be not suggested. And this is one of the reasons why everyone should open its own topic, to avoid confusion to who needs help and also to who wants to help. So, forget the other topic. The first thing you have to try is this: Deactivate all plugins (including NextGEN Gallery), clear your browser cache and reload your site. Re-activate NextGEN Gallery only and try uploading again. Please keep us posted on your results from deactivating the other plugins and switching your theme. Plugins for showing events, news, menus etc. Disabling them all is not possible on such a big site. Either the plugin works with the others (like it did before) or we have to replace it. * I think it’s suspicious that in the other guys thread (as mentioned above) he says that he installed NextGen Gallery on new installations of WP and still couldn’t get it to work… Is it impossible that there is a NextGen Gallery and WP 4.0 compatibility issue? * Plugin Contributor [photocrati](https://wordpress.org/support/users/photocrati/) * (@photocrati) * [11 years, 6 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cant-upload-images-http-error/#post-5428426) * [@angelpure](https://wordpress.org/support/users/angelpure/) – if there were a compatibility issue with WordPress 4.0, we ourselves wouldn’t even be able to run NextGEN Gallery with the latest version of WordPress. So there isn’t a conflict there. It’s likely that there is a conflict with one of your plugins. With Open Source software, where several aspects of your site are being managed and updated by different developers, updates can at times not be compatible. Sometimes there can be an issue with uploads if the permalinks are set to default, insufficient server settings (i.e. outdated MySQL/PHP, memory_limit set too low, file write permissions set too low). Nothing suspicious [@angelpure](https://wordpress.org/support/users/angelpure/), sometimes a small tweak can either make/break an element of your site.
