  • I’m trying to use the WordPress built in image uploader and get the following error:

    Warning: is_dir() [function.is-dir]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home:/tmp:/usr) in /home/jimageai/public_html/thelastgreatadventure.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1344

    Can anyone help me understand whet that means?

  • Review with host on PHP settings.

    WordPress needs access to a tmp directory to process image uploads. If your host or PHP configuration prohibits access to the server tmp directory you can define a alternate tmp location for WordPress to use. Add this line to the bottom of your wp-config.php file just above the line that says thats all happy blogging.

    /* Setup a temporary folder for uploading and updating */
    define( 'WP_TEMP_DIR', ABSPATH.'wp-content/tmp/') ;
