# Can’t update WordPress version or plugins

 * Hello,
 * Ever since I installed WordPress version 4.8, I have not been able to update 
   plugins normally. I have to use an FTP now. In addition, when I tried to update
   to the new WordPress version, I was unable. It seems as though I am not able 
   to make new updates and changes to the website. Also, when I log out of the account,
   I can’t log back in even though I have the correct login information. Luckily
   I was logged in on another browser. I checked permissions and they are fine. 
   I’m not sure what else it could be.
 * I welcome any suggestions on What I should try next.
