• I tried today 3/2/2015 to make edits to pages of my cupcakes101.net website. Once I click update I get the 404 redirect and the changes I tried to make do not take affect. However, I can edit my posts with no issues. Also, I can’t change my permalinks to a custom structure. I have deactivated all plugins as well as changed my theme and nothing seems to resolve the issue.

Thank you for your response. I had already read through the supplied link several times to make sure I was not missing anything. I have been through all of the troubleshooting steps, I have done a manual update, I have flushed my cache, etc. but still to no avail. Thus, the reason I added the post. I am somewhat technically savvy, but not with code. The only thing I have not done is edit my htaccess file and I am not sure how to go about editing it appropriately. I would very much appreciate any assistance, I can be given. My website link in ‘http://www.cupcakes101.net‘. As described in the post, the issue is in the admin section of the website, so nothing can be seen on the front end. If anyone is willing to assist me, I can take and send screen shots as needed.

Please help. I had to make changes to my pages (not my posts/blog) on the backend (database). It seems there are issues with the latest version of WordPress. I have been through all of the troubleshooting steps and had my web host look as well, but have not been able to resolve the issue. Whenever I try to make changes it redirects to the 404 Error Page saying it can’t find the page, or that it is not available. I cannot change my permalinks to custom permalinks it defaults back to the Post Name setting. When I change to the Default setting, then I run into all kinds of trouble.

    I have same issue.
When updating any pages in my WordPress 4.1.1, clicking the “Publish” button to submit my changes redirects my browsers to the apparently non-existent URL http://www.clippinghand.com/wp-admin/post.php, which results in a 404 error.

I have tried to disabling all of my plugins, changing the permalinks.

In localHost every this is ok.

What else could be causing this problem?
