• It has been a while now that I can’t save the page after update the contents on each page. I have tried: 1, deactivating all the plugins. 2, reinstalled lastest version of WordPress. 3, reinstalled the latest theme (Enfold). All of those effort got no luck. I also called my hosting company (Godaddy) to check if there is anything wrong on the hosting server and I was told no issue. This problem happened since I have WordPress version 4.7. Anyone could give some suggestions how to fix this problem?

    My site php version: 5.6.

    Thanks.

No, when I clicked the Update button, it didn’t do anything, the page became frozen instead, I can’t click any menu on my dashboard. I have to hit the back button on the browser to make the menu clickable.

    – Your browser can help you identify JavaScript issues or conflicts. Do you have any Javascript errors in the console when looking at the editor page? This article can assist you in doing that diagnosis.
    – If you use any caching systems, like Cloudflare, clear those caches.

I don’t have any cache plugin for my site. I have no knowledge about checking the java code, if possible, could you please help me take a look at my site to see if it’s the java issue? My website is: http://www.linortek.com. Thank you very much for your time.

I had the same issue, but in my case – besides upgrading WordPress to 4.8, I had also turned on apache web content compression.

After turning that off, it worked again

@t-p, I followed the link (https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors) to check the Java error, here is what I got: Java Testing Result, any suggestions?

@jeroenmies, I don’t have web content compression plugin on my site. I have disabled all the plugins to test, but still couldn’t find the problem.

    Thanks to all!
