    Hi,
    1) I can’t uninstall Hummingbird plugin. I can turn it off, but when I click “Remove” it says “You can’t remove plugin which is turned on on your homepage”. What’s going on?!

I even tried to change the name of this plugin directory to get rid of it, but it didn’t help.

    2) I want to uninstall plugin because almost nothing is working properly:

    – first “Performance test” went fine. But when I wanted to do it another time it stopped at 100%.

    – “asset Optimization” is repeating itself contantly. I can see “Hummingbird is running a file check to see what files can be optimized”, it comes to 100%, it says “xyz issues found”, I press “Got it” and… the test starts again so I again see “Hummingbird is running a file check to see what files can be optimized”

    – Caching – green light when caching is off, then no green light when catching is on, sometimes green light when catching is on – it runs totaly randomly

    – Settings -> Data & Settings -> I changed “Settings” to “Reset”, “Data” to “Remove” and after I clicked “Save” it is still “Preserve” instead of “Reset” and “Keep” instead of “Remove”.

Please help me get rid of Hummingbird plugin. Hummingbird is the worst plugin I’ve installed on WordPress during 10 years.

    Hi @sadmint,

I even tried to change the name of this plugin directory to get rid of it, but it didn’t help.

Sorry to hear about the issuse noticed. Hummingbird plugin works like any other WordPress plugin, ie if the directory is renamed the plugin will get deactivated and if the directory is deleted the plugin will get deleted. Did you confirm the same steps work with other plugins?

We have never faced any such issues, are you running in a Multisite? Could you please share a full page screenshot of the error message what you get when you try to delete the plugin via WordPress dashboard?

Could we know what version of WordPress you are running and whether it’s Apache or NGINX server? Are there any server side cache enabled like Object cache?

In general, Hummigbird shouldn’t cause any such issues, please do let us know the further details as mentioned above, so that it would help in having a better idea regarding the issues noticed.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Regards,
    Nithin
