Can't turn off watermark for size thumbnail and medium

As it looks to me right now, there es no was to disable sizes thumnail and medium in scissors and watermark for not including watermarks on those sizes. i got the settings page, i got the checkboxes, but they are ignored. All sizes getting watermarked.
