Can't successfully upload images

Hello,

For about a week now, I’ve run into a problem uploading images to my blog posts and media library. Before, I would upload an image from my computer, it would load for a second and then be seen in my site’s media library.

Now, I do the same thing, it loads and nothing but a gray box appears. When I click the button to insert the selected image (a gray box that has the all the properties of the image file except for the image itself), a broken link appears in the post/editing box. Similarly, nothing shows up when I try to set the image (again, selected gray box not displaying the image) as the post’s featured image.

The owner of the site updated to 3.7.1 today and I’m still having the same issue.

Please help.
