# Can`t start installation (HTTP ERROR 500)

 * Hello there,
    I got problem installing latest wordpress 4.6.1 manualy on my new
   domain ([http://bistravel.it](http://bistravel.it)). I created root directory,
   downloaded wordpress installation and uploaded on the server. I also created 
   database and user (with given password) offcourse. I`m shure I did everyting 
   correctly (I did it many times).
 * It`s says:
    The bistravel.it page isn’t working bistravel.it is currently unable
   to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500
 * Wordpress wp-config.php file (or wp-config-sample.php) is configured right, but
   wordpress should just start with the installation whatever wp-config.php is configured
   or not.
 * I just installed xampp and tested offline to see and it works, the installation
   starts offline but the installation can not start on the server.
 * Any suggestions please 🙂

 * Thank you all… I solved the problem. Php on our hosting is old and the version
   is 5.3. I cant change it (update it) for now because we have travel site and 
   he is working for about 10 years, if I change the PHP version our site goes upside-
   down.
 * Ok, so I found older wordpress version (4.5.3) and the installation starts. When
   the installation finished I was able to update wordpress version to the latest
   version (4.6.1).
    Interesting part is that I was not able to install latest wordpress
   because of outdated php version, but I was able to update to the latest wordpress
   version after installation.
