Support » Plugin: Restrict User Access - Membership Plugin with Force » Can’t skip nor accept Freemius notification

  • Hello,
    between Feb. 6, 2019 and March 6, 2019, something happened in the Restrict User Access plugin: now when I want to add a new user, I can’t access the plugin: there’s a notification with the icons of wordpress + Restrict User Access + freemius that says “Please help us improve Restrict User Access by securely sharing some usage data with freemius.com. If you skip this, that’s okay! Restrict User Access will still work just fine.” But when I click on “skip”, nothing happens, and when I click on “accept” nothing happens. I’m stuck here and can’t use User Access. Does anyone know how to close this notification?
    Thank you in advance
    Marie

    I have the same problem, is there a solution?

    Found a workaround…not ideal but works until the author fixes the issue.

    Comment out this line in the main plugin file (restrict-user-access.php):

    require($rua_plugin_path.’freemius.php’);

    Thank you @mfp-ll for posting this workaround. But I don’t know how to edit the code of plugins (I’m just the person who “inherited” the site, I didn’t set it up so I don’t know where the files are). I’m using wordpress 5.1.1 and in the “plugins” menu of the dashboard, I can activate or deactivate plugins but I can’t edit them. Could you please tell me where I can find the file to edit? Thank you very much. Best regards. Marie

    Thank you for reporting this and apologies for the delayed response.

    This is definitely a problem that is a priority to fix, but I have not been able to reproduce it unfortunately.

    To everyone that experience this problem, can you go to this page on your site /admin.php?page=freemius

    It should be possible to see Restrict User Access there. Can you see any other plugin names?
    What does the Freemius SDK version say?
