Hello

I can’t sign in anymore at the wp-admin interface of my website comeros.ch, neither with my name nor my e-mail-address and password. Also, I can’t reset my password. WP says my name or e-mail-address does not exist… Through my hosting I have access to all wp files.

The failure appeared after a resetting of my website.

What should I do? Thank you for your help.

Due to a database failure I had to reinstall the whole wp-installation and the database from a backup of the plugin ‘updraftplus’.

Ok, so it may be that your user table got weird in the restore.

This article lists several completely different ways to reset your password. Any one of them will work and do the job. Find the one that’s right for you and use that: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

Look at wp_users.

in fact my wp_users table is empty. Can I restore it manually with phpMyAdmin? What do I to put in under
– ID
– user_login
– user_pass
– user_nicename
– user_email
– user_url
– user_registered
I do not want to make an other failure.

No, don’t try to wing it, because it also ties to other tables. It appears you did not do the restore correctly. I recommend asking at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/updraftplus/#new-post so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.
