    Hello there,

I have trouble setting up my Site Kit (cannot activate account and successfully connect to my site)

I followed all the setup steps, but when I go to Site Kit dashboard it appears “Set up Site Kit” again and again.

I’ve already read through the forum and did the following already with no luck:

    – Uninstall and reinstall Site Kit
    – Deactivate caching plug-ins

I believe I should post in here to get a request help link for my case? I need to activate it to access AdSense by the way.

    Appreciate your help,
    Thank you very much

  • Thanks for your quick response.

We have reviewed your recording & it seems you are missing some permissions in OAuth flow that are mandatory. Please grant all permissions & then try to setup Site Kit.

I am sharing screenshot for your understanding. Please see here.

    Best Regards.

    Hi @abdullahramzan

I checked those boxes before but it didn’t work. But this time it worked.
Thanks a lot for your help!

I’ve also followed the next steps and requested review for my site. My current status is:

`Getting your site ready to show ads
Please bear with us! This usually takes a few days, but in some cases can take up to 2 weeks. We’ll notify you as soon as we’ve run some checks on your site.

Make sure you don’t remove your site and resubmit it because this can delay the process.

In the meantime, place the code on every page you want ads to appear. After our checks are complete, your site will be ready to show ads.

Remember to go to Ads and choose the ad formats you want to show.`

@abril13 Great to hear that you’re finally connect, thanks for your troubleshooting efforts.

I’ve also followed the next steps and requested review for my site. My current status is:

There is nothing to worry about here. When you see this notice it just indicates that your site is in the reviewal stage at AdSense level. While we’re unable to fast track or speed up the process you’ll get an email from the AdSense team if and when your site is approved, at which stage ads will appear and your AdSense dashboards will populate within Site Kit.

Let me know if you have any further questions with the above.

Hi @jamesosborne , thank you for your reply.

I just have one more question. So I don’t have to place any code on my site right? (I understand that after the set up steps Site Kit will automatically place codes for me)

    Thanks again

That is correct, Site Kit will placed the AdSense code on your site. Just ensure you have the default configurated applied to allow Site Kit to do so. You’ll find the settings under “Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services > AdSense > Edit“, all from within your WordPress dashboard.
