# Can't send mail

 * I can receive email OK but when I attempt to compose an email I get an error 
   message…

 * MailCWP has two ways to send email:
    1. Via the internal PHP mail send command
   which in turn relies on libraries and tools on the server to send email 2. Via
   SMTP, which connects directly to an SMTP server to send the mail out.
 * If you have not explicitly configured SMTP for the account then the server side
   email commands are not functional. You would need a server admin to troubleshoot
   that.
 * If you have configured SMTP setting those are most likely not correct. You would
   need to check your SMTP settings against the correct settings for your SMTP server.
