Can’t select pixel during integration

Hi,
I have a webshop that has it’s own local FB business account with a pixel setup. The actual FB page and Instagram accounts are owned by a global account which also has the catalog created that I need to sync the webshop products with. My local pixel is shared with the global account with full access permissions and I also have access to all global aspects with full admin permissions.Problem is that when going through the integration process, the last step where I need to select the associated pixel, the pixel is not available.
So my question is (I’ve asked FB who can’t give me a straight answer on this) does the pixel have to be owned by the same account that has the catalog setup? If not, then why am I not able to select the pixel during the integration setup?
