    Hello,

I am currently evaluating W3 Total Cache for use on my website. I installed it on a dedicated localhost instance using wampstack for testing. Under the “Page Cache” method selection menu, all of the Dedicated / Virtual Server options are grayed out for some reason even though I am running this on a dedicated wamp server instance. Are these features for premium users only? Or is there some special setup / config process I need to go through first before I can use these features?

    WordPress type: Multisite

    Wordpress version: 4.9.15

    PHP version: 7.3.12

    Plugin version: 0.14.2

Server type: WAMP stack on Windows 10 – localhost

    Hello @braxvang

Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to assist you with this.
No, the greyed out caching methods are not for premium users only. They are available in W3 Total Cache for all users. However, W3 Total Cache only recognizes PHP module so in order to be able to use for example Redis as a caching method you need to install the phpredis extension.
    Thank you!

Hi Marko, thanks for the response! Is there any documentation on how to set up these extensions to work with W3 total cache? For example, if I wanted to use the “Opcode: eAccelerator” option, is there documentation somewhere that will walk me through setting up eAccelerator with W3 total cache?

    Hello @braxvang

As I’ve stated in the previous post, you need to install the PHP extension.
There are some examples in our FAQ page and in the accelerator Github repository but I’d recommend contacting your host for assistance.
    Thank you!
