# Can’t select database *NEED HELP!*

 * I know my database is good (confirmed in my cpanel for my site) but I just cannot
   for the life of me be able to connect to my mysql server! How do I connect? I
   want to elevate the privileges on my mysql account to root then I should be good
   to go!

 * Can’t select database
 * We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and
   password is okay) but not able to select the booze_wp database.
 *  * Are you sure it exists?
    * Does the user booze_root have permission to use
   the booze_wp database? * On some systems the name of your database is prefixed
   with your username, so it would be like username_booze_wp. Could that be the 
   problem?
 * If you don’t know how to setup a database you should contact your host. If all
   else fails you may find help at the WordPress Support Forums.
